Deloitte Analytics Institute (DAI) is a Center of Excellence focused on providing the best-of-breed strategies and technologies to assist solving Deloitte China clients' toughest business challenges.
The DAI supports and promotes everything data practice across all Deloitte functions: Audit, Consulting, Enterprise Risk Services, Financial Advisory and Tax Services. DAI provides a suite of technical capabilities and skillsets in the field of data modeling, visualization, management and internet+ that can be embedded in Deloitte China's current service offerings. We are a unique group of differentiator that has no equivalent in the market.
Work Scope
This role will provide the candidate a unique opportunity to work with a wide array of clients to solve exciting data analytics related business challenges. Critical thinking, problem solving, excellent oral and written English and Chinese communication skills, marketing, analytics, and networking skills are a must for this position. Applicant must have extensive project management experience at a senior manager or above level with great understand of the analytics landscape as well as industry expertise across 3-5 industries. Applicant will also need to have great PowerPoint and presentation skills. (Applicant must submit a 10 page and above PowerPoint presentation on his or her qualification for this role and plans for DAI going forward prior to interview)
Primary Responsibilities:
· Lead the team to deliver data analytics service to Deloitte China all functions teams
· Plan, scope, monitor, and review work delivered by the team.
· Promote data analytics best practice/solutions both internal and externally via wide ranges of social media platforms.
· Interact with clients, potential investors, vendors, partners and others as required
· Draft and present status report, strategic plan, and findings to Deloitte China leadership in a timely manner
· Ensure team compliance with Deloitte ethical, confidentiality and work policies and quality/performance standards
· Participate in major client pursuits including prepare proposal materials and participate in client presentations
· Develop team overall strategic plan going forward and goal setting for team members
· Ability to be the lead facilitator for Greenhouse analytics lab
· Bringing wide-ranging experience, professional concepts, and functional area / Deloitte objectives to resolve complex issues in creative ways; bringing personal subject matter expertise to play where relevant.
Qualifications required:
· Minimum of 10 years of professional service experience with majority in analytics related area.
· Minimum of 6 years direct client facing experience at a consulting firm with heavy data analytics focus.
· Well-developed analytical skills - ability to synthesize group discussions into concise / concrete bullet points and help steer abstract dialogue into actionable themes.
· Excellent leadership and project management skills with a proven track record at leading teams of 15 or more
· Mature, proactive and committed to quality client service
· Excellent interpersonal and business development skills
· Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese along with presentation skills in PowerPoint is a must
· Willing to travel
Education:
· Bachelor or Master’s Degree / PhD in a quantitative field (e.g., Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Physics).
