The Area Sales Manager, Hygienic (North China) will specifically focus on sales and application of our Mouvex eccentric-disc pump product range in the fast growing Hygienic industry. This individual will be the front line key driver of focused initiatives in the assigned geographical market and will coordinate efforts with all other areas including General Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Finance to service and grow sales in his/her assigned area of coverage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Prepares and conducts product & application related training to distributors and end-users.
? Responsible for the sales performance and development of business in area/region assigned to you by leader.
? Develop and manage sales opportunity pipeline, drive to win sales opportunities and increase hit rate and cooperate with the team to achieve the business goal.
? Responsible incremental sales growth to meet or exceed plan with primary focus in North China
? Achieve projected gains through development and deployment of “Value Added” sales concepts compatible with the above region Vs simply order taking.
? Assist in developing cohesive sales targets as well as plans to achieve targets.
? Use route to market paths include sales through optimized distribution. As needed, evolve route to market options best suited for the local market.
? While working with existing commercial route to market; participate in end user and EPC interface.
? Succeed in creating specification push/pull through OEM, system integrators.
? Implement and regularly use process like goal setting/tracking, key project tracking.
? Be directly involved in key individual sales projects and assure that correct data is collected and evaluated to confirm proper equipment match early in sales process.
? Train individuals serving the hygienic market the specific knowledge to be able to perform autonomously in this market, wherever necessary.
? Assist PSG in developing Voice of the Customer initiatives as a method of defining new product opportunities
? Other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements:
? High proficiency in English and Mandarin with the ability for on the spot verbal translations. High clarity on the phone.
? Minimum 5 years of work experience in the Hygienic Industry, preferably with good background knowledge and experience in the Food & Beverage and Dairy Markets. Candidate should have a good understanding of the sales process in this industry as well industry specifications and certifications required.
? Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business or related field with more than 5 years’ experience in the pump solution market and/or related areas or equivalent experience, specifically in the Hygienic Market.
? Self-sufficient and self-motivated. Works with little supervision.
? Travel (drive and air) of up to 50% of time (mainly within the primary sales Geo-region). Attend trade shows and meetings as needed. Maintain records necessary for effective planning.
? Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and effective use of modern technologies to leverage time.
