Senior FP&A Manager - China
The right candidate is a Chinese preferably with MBA from a US university. He/She has deep expertise with all FP&A related processes and technical skills, including managing and improving budget, forecast, financial models and processes. He will have demonstrated leadership and critical thinking abilities to provide business insights to business leaders regarding Revenue, P&L drivers and action plans. He/She is a strong communicator in a very complex and diverse MNC environment.
Job Title: China Senior FP&A Manager
Scope
The senior FP&A manager is responsible for both revenue and PnL related financial planning and analysis. For revenue side, he/she will be the owner of revenue weekly fcst rhythm, process and reporting. For PnL side, he/she will look after all MS China capital investment and cost related analysis, control and planning. He/she will be the owner of monthly Capex review with CFO and RE&F team, and also lead Capex Mid-year review and annual budget process with other finance counterpart. The most important, he/she will need to provide business insights with finance expertise and understanding of revenue performance and Capex accounting on top of the reporting and analysis. He/She will work closely with commercial finance team to understand revenue by segment actual and fcst insights, M&O finance team to understand by product revenue performance and insights. He/She will also work closely with real estate and facility team for all Capex related process.
Core Responsibilities
- Business Insight - 30%
- Proactive and strict management of P&L by line spending - primarily on Capex related to hit set targets.
- Provide strong analysis and business insight to optimize the investment.
- Scenario modeling for investment.
- Trusted advisor to financial controller, CFO and the China leadership team on investment, cost drivers.
- Business Excellence - 50%
- Drive an effective rhythm for the region for P&L, Opex and headcount analysis. Superb communicator across the organization.
- Drive report standardization across different finance teams to make the consolidation accurate, and fast.
- Drive continuous improvement in business predictability. Fiscal accounted by forecast accuracy.
- Develop solid work back plan for key processes (such as weekly revenue fcst, Capex MYR, budget process)
- Work with RE&F on investment analysis
- Ensure control and compliance is a top priority, work proactively to address potential exposure and control issue.
- Personal Leadership - 20%
- Provide thoughtful leadership within GCR finance to achieve business excellence
- Use collaboration leadership style to work with finance and business partners
Qualification & Skills
- MBA preferred
- At least 8 years of business and finance experience in a dynamic, international environment. Possibly one working experience outside of China.
- Very fluent in English. Great presentation skills.
- Proven record of successful business partnership in a complex, matrix environment.
- Great simplifier but strong analytical skills.
- Courageous and bold with the ability to deal with ambiguity.
- Strong process management skills.
- P&L management expertise.
