Job Summary
 
Join the China Localisation team and be responsible for the Chinese software user interface and documentation of MATLAB® and Simulink®. MathWorks is the leading developer of mathematical computing software for engineers and scientists with over 100 specialized products. Our software cover a broad range for areas including algorithm development, data analytics, visualization, and automated code generation. You will contribute to increasing our customers’ satisfaction by providing high quality localized products.
 
Responsibilities

You will work as a Chinese translation validator to release localized products with high linguistic and technical quality twice a year. To release localized products on time, you will work alongside our translation vendors. You will be also expected to improve the current localization process to maximize our capability. Specifically, you will:
? Validate translation of software user interface and documentation and provide feedback to our translators
? Track the trend of our vendor’s translation quality with the goal of continuously improvement of quality
? Maintain Style Guides/Glossary to keep accuracy and consistency in the translation
? Interact with the other Globalization teams (Engineering team in the US, Localisation teams both in Japan and Korea) and various teams in the China office to perform efficient validation
? Assist in coordinating translation validation projects
? Assist in the mentoring and training of more junior members
? Work with other teams in development to improve the overall quality of our products

Minimum Qualifications

?localization (L10N)
?A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.

Additional Qualifications
? English skills: TOEIC score of 800 (or equivalent on another test)
? Excellent working knowledge of industry leading translations and localization technology such as SDL Trados, memoQ or similar tools
? Excellent organizational and highly developed communication skills with the ability to speak, write, and read fluent English and Chinese
? Knowledge of MATLAB or other programing environments
? Knowledge of localisation guidelines, including Microsoft Style Guide and terminologies
