Automotive Microcontroller & Microprocessor Application Engineer
 (ADAS expending to Connectivity)
Responsibilities:
？ Work with customers, field application, marketing and sales team to identify system requirements and specify architecture for chiefly China ADAS vision and radar market.
？ Develop algorithm implementations, solutions, reference design targeting especially China automotive ADAS industry, including but not limited to hardware evaluation ECU (electronic control unit), software package, application note.
？ Provide intensive technical support to selected leading customers extending to on-site design / developing service as necessary.
？ Develop technical training package and train reginal customers, distributors as well as internal technical team.
？ Work as center of technical expertise in the region for the high potential application areas such as Advanced Drive Assistant System (ADAS), automotive connectivity and security.
？ As part of the global application organization, work effectively across departments to help customer overcome technical barriers and save development time/cost.

Requirements:
？ Master or doctor degree or 5+ years in relevant disciplines, such as electronics/electrical engineering, microelectronics, embedded system, computer science, automotive electronics etc;
？ Strong interpersonal skills, able to comfortably work with multiple internal teams across global as well as customers
？ Attitude of enthusiasm, curiosity, continuous learning, and desire for success as a team
？ Fluent verbal and written English
？ Willingness to travel while needed
？ The candidate who can meet one or more criteria as below are strongly preferred:
? Good knowledge and experience of image processing / vision algorithm specifically: advanced knowledge of DSP signal processing, machine learning (e.g. HOG+SVM, Neural Network), LDW, TSR, SGM and others, or
? Good knowledge and experience of radar signal processing specifically: DBF, CFAR, Doppler processing, tracking algorithm and others, or
? Good Knowledge of Linux internals: device driver development, OS concepts, Kernel, Linux BSP. Good Working knowledge in Real Time systems, board bringup, DDR, uboot, CAN, Ethernet, ARM-core, Emulation platforms.
? Strong embedded system HW/SW capability such as OS, device driver, multi-core interaction, CPU core and instruction set knowledge;
? Good knowledge and experience of automotive applications in particular experience of automotive system engineering such as ECU design, In-Vehicle networking, Functional Safety, AUTOSAR
? Knowledge of simulation tools (e.g. Matlab)
? Excellent skills in presenting complex technical subjects
? Strong mathematical background
? Passion for getting things done as well as pushing organization to preset direction

The Automotive Microcontroller and Processor (AMP) Application team in China is a critical part of the AMP Business Line within the automotive business unit. It is responsible for providing excellent application support to automotive customer as well as internal team with the focus on the demand from fast growing China market. Application engineers within this team will develop complete or even customized reference solution for customers including both hardware and software, and help to secure design win by solution and customer support.
