Administrator Responsibilities:

? Primarily responsible for the administration and maintenance of a Backup environment.
? Good working experience and knowledge managing RedHAT Linux includes but not limited to OS Administration, Cluster management, patch management etc..,
? Good working experience and knowledge on Storage administration (Intermediate)
? Identifies, analyzes, selects, and applies appropriate new information technology infrastructure components within a diverse Systems Backup environment as required, using approved Information Technology (IT) processes.
? Applies information analysis to resolve moderate to complex infrastructure problems.
? Participates on multiple projects as a team member or facilitates/leads group meetings or teams in applying technology to meet specific business needs.
? Makes complex changes in accordance with existing processes. This may include changes to highly complex or interrelated processes. Responsible for coordinating and communicating changes.
? Performs root cause analysis which includes detailed analysis to assist in the effective implementation and integration of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure.
? Works on systems/projects with relatively large number or interrelated processes and/or unclear relationships to other processes of moderate complexity.
? Manages elements of the current infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance in an integrated environment.
? Other duties as assigned by Wipro Management.

Essential technical requirements:
? Extensive experience with hands on Backup Administration Netbackup 7.X
? Good experience and management of Data Domain backup technology and replication
? Good exposure to advanced administration tasks on Linux Administration with Cluster management experience
? RMAN tape backup management and restoration experience
? Tape management and procurement of tapes at offsite shore
? Exposure to storage and SAN is a must
? Advanced Knowledge of Redhat and Oracle Enterprise Linux Versions 4/5/6
? Strong trouble shooting skills
? Very good Unix and shell scripting skill required
? Good experience with patch installations, firmware upgrades required.
? Good to have experience with OpenVMS administration
 
Required Qualifications:
? 4+ years of experience in backup administration
? 3+ years of experience with Data Domain and replication technologies
? 3+ years of experience in Storage and HP-UX, IBM-AIX administration
? 3+ years of experience with SAN switch management
