Plant Manager, China

Responsibilities:
? Insure all policies are followed to assure a safe and effective work environment.
? Responsible for the current and long-range operations, productivity and growth of the manufacturing organization.
? Improve overall performance metric for the site, including OTD, productivity, inventory turns
? Manage the development of next generation leaders
? Partner with Global sourcing to reduce material cost by 50% and improve supplier lead times by 30%
? Lead the development of global supply partnership in China to establish procurement strategies to improve preferred supplier spend from 15% to 35% of total purchase value for castings, machining and pass through components such as couplings and motors from China.
? Implement new supplier selection process for affiliates
? Implement supplier performance management program, including cost competitiveness, quality, on-time delivery, service/responsiveness. Reward good
? Manage and execute improvements that support overall production optimization in the plant and other variable cost savings opportunities. Champion and offer support for all Lean activities.
? Develop and manage plant productivity metrics, monthly monitoring, and yearlong goals consistent with Company’s policies

Qualification:
? Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Operations and Global Supply Chain Management
? Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
? Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English and Chinese
? Proven track record in working for foreign company
? Demonstrating experience in managing and developing team to consistently achieve results
? Demonstrate abilities to perform in a metric driven environment (lean preferred)
? Bias for action and high sense of urgency
? Strategic mindset
? Thrives in taking ownership and holding self and others appropriately accountability
? Experienced with Microsoft Office
? Ability to travel as needed, estimated at approximately 10%.
