Position Summary
Developer - Web Scraping/Web Development

This position is for someone who wants to see their own work create high impact on sales while working with a very dynamic team. You will work directly with a small team of experienced consultants, sales people and marketers where you will play a critical role creating web products that support organizational needs and goals.

For this you will bring your technical experience and understanding of Java or Python, web scraping and web development. You will be the primary developer for most of these projects and in some cases receive help from other developers.

The projects involve a combination of scraping data from various sites, creating meaningful visualizations, storing and transforming data. Your creativity will help uncover more things we can do to support the business.

Although you’ll be in a small team, you will have huge flexibility to work hours and location. We are based out of Naked Hub, one of the leading co-working spaces in Shanghai with locations all over the city. Free unlimited soft drinks, coffee and beer! You will have the option to work from home too. Compensation is based on experience/ability. As you will directly be supporting the sales team, you will be eligible to receiving sales bonuses too.

Being part of a small company, you will be able to learn about all aspects of a startup. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with a group of expats, each highly experienced in their trade of marketing, consulting and sales, both within China and internationally. And being part of KFD, you can work on projects related to major consumer brands from various industries.

Key Responsibilities
? Use technology to support sales team with the best data possible
? Maintain work progress to meet target deadlines
? Gather and store data from various sources
? Handle database and web app hosting
? Create data visualizations and reports that are easily accessible by sales team


Qualifications
? Fluent in English and Mandarin. Must be able to read/speak Chinese and English without a problem
? Communication: Strong communicator, able to convey information and tasks in a clear and concise manner, especially in explaining tech requirements to non technical people
? Strong technical foundation:
o Understanding of the SDLC with programming experience preferably in Java/Python
o Knowledge of web scraping concepts
o Some Linux server & database experience
o Huge plus: web development experience, bootstrap, javascript, django
? Independence. Nobody will push you. You need to set, track and communicate your goals to the boss.
? Experience in ecommerce, project management, web development and digital advertising is highly valued
