Your responsibilities in Production Logistics:

Production Logistics Planning

• Planning and realization of end-to-end logistics concepts in manufacturing and assembly environments
• Identification of improvement potential in existing Logistics processes
• Planning the material supply from warehouse to line-side, including commissioning, sequencing activities and physical transports
• Planning of line-side material presentation to ensure balanced production lines
• Planning of containers/bins for internal transports
• Development of logistics concepts to maximize the efficiency of manufacturing processes
• Planning of out-bound logistics
• Planning and integration of customer specific requirements
• Applying Lean-Production philosophies in the planning
• Preparing pricing schedules
• Preparing Tender documents and evaluation matrices
• Assisting the customer in the selection of qualified suppliers
• Preparing and presenting status and results to Customers
• Making comparisons to aid decision makers in selection the best site
  

Production Logistics Implementation

• Monitoring progress throughout the project implementation and comparing this with the projected schedule of work
• Liaising with the site agent and surveyor throughout the process, making adjustments to projects as necessary
• Managing sub-suppliers
• Supervising Installation and Commissioning of Equipment
• Acceptance Testing
• Training of Customer's Employees
  

Your profile:

• Above-average Degree or Masters in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Technology and 3-5 years experience in manufacturing logistics
• Experience in process planning and efficiency improvement projects especially for automotive manufacturers,system and engine builders
• Experience in Lean Production in international manufacturing companies
• Knowledge of Logistics IT solutions, from Supplier Management, Warehouse Management, Inventory Management to WIP Tracking throughout entire the production facility
• Deep founded knowledge and hands-on experience in the planning and application of logistics supply methods: JIT, JIS, Kanban, Supermarket, Milkrun etc. is essential
• Excellent communication skills, including quick understanding and active listening, good team player
• Ability to meet high quality standard requirements
• Ability to structure complex tasks
• Setting and observing time schedules and budget controlling are as essential as creating status reports
• Willingness to take challenges, work under pressure, keep learning and self-improvement continuously
• Initially based on projects in north-eastern China
• Flexible as most of the subsequent projects are likely to be within China.
• Good command of German and English (knowledge of further languages especially Chinese would be advantageous)
• Ability to support our customers in complex project tasks as well as working in international project teams
