Key purpose of role:
? Act as the local marketing leader for all frontline marketing & promotional activities for international artists for all key repertoire owners from US, UK & Europe including the following labels, Atlantic Records, WBR, Elektra, WMUK, Milan, ADA etc.
? Formulate & implement marketing strategies to ensure that our market share is in line or better than the global average
? Trouble shoot for all matters pertaining international content or artists
? Ensure marketing and promotional plans are effectively developed and executed
? Achieve budgeted revenue & market share targets
? Build strong relationships with Repertoire Owners, Regional Office and International Artists Managers
Responsibilities:
Marketing System:
? Manage upcoming physical/digital releases with an efficient release schedule
? Manage & update the weekly priority list to ensure that we are able to identify the songs/projects that have the biggest opportunity for success in the local market
? Formulate marketing plans for key projects / singles to reach top of the charts
? Work on the monthly business forecast with the Senior Management
? Develop strategies to break new acts/songs
? Arrange regular internal meetings to ensure the projects are well organized and local marketing plans are implemented in line with regional & global directives.
? Monitor sales performance of key projects and recommend corrective actions if necessary
Marketing & Promotion:
? Develop creative marketing & promotion strategies to improve our market share and revenue with our key digital service providers (DSPs)
? Regular post mortem on marketing plans, promo trip and concert tour to improve future marketing strategies & decision-making.
? Regular communication with labels to ensure key promotional tools are available for priority releases
? Develop strategy & implementation plan for Warner social media sites(branded & un-branded) so as to be able to reach out to potential market directly
? Identify synchronization opportunities for international songs with advertising agencies
? Establish marketing partnership with brands to exploit our international frontline & catalogue releases so that we can maximize revenue outside the traditional channels.
Sales & Key Digital Accounts:
? Build strong relationship with key DSPs to ensure our Priority Releases are on their top of mind of the editorial team through various new and priority release presentations
? Update our product & marketing information regularly through newsletters
? Develop successful play-listing strategy with key DSPs
Others:
? Observe new marketing ideas from overseas & suggest for local implementation if applicable
? Take notice of new artists, trends, and contents from US, UK or other repertoire potential markets so that we can stay ahead of our competitors.
Requirements:
? University graduate in Marketing or related disciplines
? Minimum 5 years of experience in product marketing, online marketing or advertising agency environment. Experience in entertainment industry will be a plus
? At least 2 years managerial experience in leading a small team
? Strategic, ability to see the big picture and with strong drive to achieve desired business results
? Dynamic, work effectively in a fast-paced environment
? Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain strong partnership with a wide range of people locally, regionally and globally
? Good at multitasking, strong skills in planning & organization, time management, and prioritization
? Passionate about music especially international repertoire, with understanding of China market
? Native Mandarin, good spoken and written English
