Job Description & Profile



Job summary



Ø Market support: Responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet Virbac China objectives and sales target applied through an annual marketing plan.


Ø Market evaluation: Evaluate potential market segments and customers in collaboration with the CAP National Sales Manager and team and collect the whole information about the market such as market conditions and competitor data


Ø Market innovation: Define all types of new services, promotional offers and tools, product re-positioning or new presentations to offer to Virbac’s customers. Evolve Virbac Companion Animals products positioning, messaging and branding.


Ø To assert effectiveness, discipline and professionalism at every stage of the marketing process.



Key tasks


Ø Product Management:
-> Set objectives, develop and implement marketing strategies for the products. Translate such
strategies into annual marketing plans to be implemented and updated all along the year in direct
relation with the sales targets and agenda.
-> Plan and maintain successful marketing program(s) including organizations of seminars and
congresses, press releases, newsletters, advertising, sponsorship, promotional material and
other aspects of the marketing mix..
->To have control, follow up and report about the marketing expenses according to the
implementation of the marketing plans.


Ø Product Training:
->To provide the CAP Sales team with technical and marketing training
-> To provide technical training on our vaccine Rabigen mono to related veterinarians, practitioners
and decision makers


Ø Market & Product Analysis:
->To monitor marketing activity via marketing intelligence. Maintain a network of contacts to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the marketing place. Monitor and assess sales activity by product to ensure performance is clearly understood and used to set product targets and/or objectives.
->To research customers’ needs and recommend new products to register


Ø Link with Opinion Leaders:
->To develop a long standing relationship between Virbac and each Opinion Leader.


Ø Conferences:
-> To organize and prepare all congresses, seminars, workshops, meetings where Virbac is active.
Attend as required to support CAP Sales team.


Ø Communication:
->To ensure that easy and shared communication occurs with CAP National Sales Manager and Sales Team


Ø Reporting:
->To provide monthly updated marketing plans and marketing expenses follow up. To provide the
required reports when requested for either domestic or international use

Qualifications


§ Veterinarian with Master or PhD degree, alternatively minimum Master degree in Medical or Pharmaceutical Science


§ Fluent in English



Experience


Experience in medical marketing is mandatory, veterinary industry would be highly appreciated as described below:


§ A veterinarian having passed his Mastery Degree


§ First experience in a Companion Animals clinic


§ First experience in marketing: market evaluation, promotion, congresses, etc…


§ Some relations with professors and opinion leaders


§ Some relations with Companion Animals leading practitioners
