Job Purpose
Drive the development process from creating Tech Pack to production delivery for assigned products, with an emphasis on quality product engineering and timely completion of all tasks, including sampling and costing in accordance with the operating calendars.
Job Responsibilities
1 Collaborate closely with the various stakeholders – Design, Product Line Management, factories, materials suppliers and various other parties – to drive the development, production and the shipment of products.
2 Ensure all set department targets, KPIs to be met & aligned with the group targets.
3 Manage the cost expectations, materials standard requirement, manufacturer’s ability, etc. Feedback Factory input to Design Team / Product Line Management as appropriate.
4 Lead the development process ensuring workable proto samples are created and address desired functions, logo execution, cost and manufacturability, including checking for checking quality, size, fit and adherence to standard providing options and recommendations to make improvement in the sample process.
5 Analyze and validate factory costing information on the requested costing timeline.
6 Ensure that all development samples, preline and salesman sample are produced accurately, and shipped on time.
7 Ensure timely resolution of production issues working collaboratively with materials, production and technical services team etc, in order to reach quality and deliver objectives.
Key Skills / Attributes / Experience
1 Advanced knowledge of production garment construction and manufacturing
2 Strong knowledge of material construction, trims and related testing requirement
3 Ability to fit a garment and comments to factory on changes required.
4 Strong knowledge of costing
5 Fluent in English (written and spoken)
6 Advanced ability to work with MS office skills especially EXCEL
7 5 Years of related work experience in the apparel industrial
