The opportunity arises for Viavi Solutions to hire a Regional Product Line Manager for our Lab & Production Business Unit for Greater China region, based in Shenzhen.
Main responsibilities:
? Engage with broad customer base including NEMs and their ecosystem – build relations to capture input on desired features, applications and customer roadmap trends.
? Provide deep support on applications and featured.
? Capture broader regional trends on pricing, investment areas, business relations and competitive environment.
? Act as a strong advocate for Greater China customer needs and be willing to build business cases for roadmap feature input.
? Grow customer base and act in business development role.
? Taking a casual ‘ad-hoc’ relationship to the next level of true partnership.
? Co-ordinate regional activities with local sales – target sales events, training, tradeshows, press etc. to promote Viavi L&P as technical and product though leader.
? Create regional focused white papers and training material.
Pre-requisites and Skills:
? Understanding of core underlying technologies including photonics, Ethernet and OTN.
? Understand technologies primarily in 3 areas photonics, Transport networks and Storage.
? Understanding of the whole technology ecosystem related to photonics, materials, ICs, modules, IP/Software, NEMs, production & CMs, service providers & ICP accounts.
? Engineering background in above mentioned technologies would be a great plus.
? Willing to travel to US and EMEA 3-6 times a year for training, BU engagement, tradeshows.
? Ideal candidate with have experience with a Western technology company but have the right blend of Chinese and Western cultural styles.
? Good English skills – spoken and written
? Good team player – able to build consensus yet able to work remotely under minimal direct oversight.
