Responsibilities:

Identify suppliers and evaluate their capability from commercial and technical points of view

Project manage procurement schedules (i.e. ensure that specialized capital equipment is manufactured to required standards and delivered on time and within budget)

Manage suppliers and clients through strong personal interaction and communication

Collate and approve suppliers and contractors as well as making recommendations for each enquiry/RFQ package

Monitor and support the expeditors and QA/QC inspectors

Maintain good relations with clients and suppliers/contractors

Ensure Functional Manager is kept informed of status/problems

Produce documentation to support and satisfy Client's requirements

 Requirements:

A bachelor degree or above Engineering or related major with a minimum of 3-years work experience in fields of procurement or purchasing

Exposure to mining or metallurgical industries is preferred

Procurement (or manufacturing) project management knowledge and skills are essential

Proficient in the use of computers and commonly-used business software

Ability to organize and present facts and arguments in a persuasive and convincing manner

Good research and analytical capability

Good communication skills and team work ethic

Excellent English and Mandarin both written and spoken

Willingness to travel;
