Distributor Manager

Elsevier publish over 2,500 journals and more than 33,000 book titles, and provide web-based, digital solutions — among them ScienceDirect, Scopus, Evolve, Knovel, Reaxys and ClinicalKey.

As a Marketing & Operations Head in the Research & Clinical Solution team, you will;
? Be responsible for the current year and long-term growth of overall Elsevier business in territory through designated third party vendors (agents) in the territory

Key responsibilities include;
? Achieve revenue and growth objectives
o Responsible for total Elsevier business in territory (country strategy, market Intel, planning, execution), in alignment with business & strategic objectives.
o Key link between agent and rest of organisation.
o Effective use of Elsevier resources to support Agents.
o Own and drive agent manager strategy
 
? Account and segment management
o Overall account stewardship: owns the overall institutional strategy and planning and the holistic customer engagement plan working with Agents.
o Ensures alignment to deliver holistic Elsevier value to the account, in line with the institution’s strategic objectives.

? Develop an effective agent sales organization
o Effective manage SLAs with agents.
o Work with agents to effectively hire, coach and develop and retain sales talent.
o Lead by example; manage change (effectively implement and embed global initiatives in region).
o Fully understand and utilize Elsevier sales tools (e.g. sales compensation plan, pipeline dashboards, etc) to drive sales behavior
o Ensures the right level of account management (holistic Elsevier value aligned with customer strategy) through coaching, role-modeling of agent managers

? In-depth knowledge
o Stay abreast of developments in segment (country, industry, etc.) and share market insights/intel with Elsevier stakeholders.

To be successful, you’ll bring with you;
? Bachelors or above
? Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills; fluency in English
? Strong leadership to colllaborate with the GM level of Elsevier partners
? Could drive changes through down to earth programs
? Experienced in working in an international matrixed organization
? Self-starter
? Frequent travel required (40%)
