1.1 Support Strategic Sourcing
- Supportive Team member of Global Category team (where global category team exists)
- Support Global Category manager in CIPS, providing input from own sourcing area to Category Strategy (on yearly basis, Action Planning (quarterly) and monthly KPI review
- ABB Group / divisional/BU Category Team responsibilities (in case agreed together with global category manager and LBU/BU SCM
- Implement Supplier level strategic work, introduce new Suppliers to category portfolio in respect to the agreed BU / Divisional strategy
1.2 Support Specific projects
- Supportive Team member of specific projects implemented by global category manager
1.3 Personal development
- Actively search suitable trainings for own category from Group and external sources. Follow personal training plan based on knowledge mapping and functional manager and direct manager inputs
1.4 Responsible for Supplier level SCM KPIs
- Responsible to collect Supplier volume RFQs
- Responsible to negotiate Suppliers cost reductions (ongoing process, quarterly or yearly)
- Responsible for Supplier performance: Savings, EM, Payment terms, OTD, Quality, lead time budget target settings and KPIs monthly follow up / continues improvement. Implement close the gap actions when needed.
2. Responsible for R&D and P/E projects sourcing contribution and supplier relationship management
2.1 Responsible for R&D and P/E projects contribution
- Responsible of daily support for the R&D projects next generation products development at own suppliers area
- Responsible of supplier selections for the R&D projects according to preferred/agreed supplier portfolio in the category
- Sourcing responsible person for R&D projects (if nominated)
- Responsible to develop should cost and cost structure models at own area to get better understanding about products/parts costs vs. price and to support R&D engineers in early phase to ensure the best technical-commercial concept / supplier selections
-Responsible for early supplier involvement together with R&D, improve design in/specification selection, promote standardization, ensure timely supplier selections
- Responsible for to use TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) approach in R&D supplier selections
- May assess selected SCM gates
- Increase awareness of cost competitive suppliers / components/ designs within R&D organization
- Develop risk management in own responsibility area, try to avoid any sole source selections
- Responsible of supplier changes in P/E projects
- Responsible to promote better / new supplier approvals through cost cut projects for P/E
- Ensure product cost competitiveness and solid component availability through product lifecycle
- Lead audits with cross-functional teams. Supplier quality improvement in co-operation with product engineering
2.2 Responsible for Supplier Relationship Management and Performance development:
- Supplier responsibility (“Supplier owner”)
- Responsible for SPEs, Audits and Agreements. Continuously improve Price, Quality, Reliability, Availability, OTD, Payment term and lead time with suppliers
- Manage and develop supplier specific innovation and development plans
- Arrange frequently top management meetings with management mentors with selected strategic suppliers. Category Manager participation to be agreed with him/her
3. Support Co-operation with PG/LPG SCM
- Active involvement and support especially to areas in which PG/LPG SCM has main responsibility:
- Products BOM cost management and follow up
- Promoting Cost cut projects to PGs/LPGs and implementation follow up
- Multiple source “as is” evaluation, roadmaps, and implementation follow up
- Support in GloFo related production / components transfer projects
4. Co-operation with Purchasing
- In co-operation with purchasing develop supplier relationships, purchasing to manage supplier daily performance
- Ensure solid component availability and necessary flexibility to meet own business needs
- Support purchasing to develop right logistic set-up′s for own categories
5. Co-operation with After sales
- Manage solid component availability and costs through product lifecycles. Support smooth ramp-downs
6. People Management
- Requires skills to motivate cross-functional R&D and P/E people without line organizational power
</p><br><p>? Msc or Bsc degree
? Strategic thinking, cooperative, analytical
? At least 5 year experience, preferably with Sourcing / SCM background
? Experience working in / with R&D or PE is an asset
? Continuous Improvement focus, be demanding and do not accept average results
? Able to decide when, what and how to solve the problem and then take the responsibility with prompt delivery
? Good negotiation skills in a multicultural global business environment
? Good understanding supply market, manufacturing, logistics, B2B
? Ability to influence others. Systematic and target oriented
? Fluent English with good communication skills
