Position: Engineering Supervisor(工程部主管)

Location: ChongQing


Summary: This position is responsible for resolving engineering issues for the continuity of operations. Appraising technological development and investigates feasibility of new equipment and technology. Ensuring local equipment is running properly so that quality parts are packed to standards at Laird regional facilities and delivered to customers on time.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage the design, engineering, fabrication, installation and set up of engineering projects. Lead engineering team to design. Develop and improve designs.
Appraise technological development and investigates feasibility of new engineering technology.
Project management when specialized machines, feeder systems, etc. are required.
Coordinate with other functions in order to establish and maximize allocation of resources, costs and periods for projects.
Support production with ensuring transferred technologies and equipments are properly applied for mass production.
Working with global engineering for technology and equipment transferred into the site.
Sourcing for local vendors for localization of engineering technologies and equipments.
Responsible for clear and accurate inventory control according to specifications and providing supplies to workstations.
Completion of new, arising from production-specific adaptations (such as expansions and modifications), with the objective of maintaining the competitiveness of our company on the international market.
Extensive travel to train and ensure equipment is being setup, operated, and maintained to its full capability.
Periodically review engineering capacity to identify adverse trends and potential failure points.
Ensure that good technical engineering concepts are used in organization.
Support CIP programs if needed.
Manage and train team, and appraise of staff’s performance.


REQUIREMENTS:

Strong background with automation equipments design and fabrication.
Rich experience on automation technologies management.
Coaching and training skill.
Strong desire for team-oriented approach and customer-oriented.
Be fluent on speak and write English.


EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree, Engineering. Master degree preferred.
Minimum of 4 years in engineering and design. Minimum of 3 years as supervisor
