职位描述


PURPOSE:
A Siebel Developer understands the Siebel development, testing, deployment, and production support processes, has a skill/experience using Siebel Tools, understanding of the Siebel data modeland underlying architecture, understanding of data interfaces using EIM, EAI, and XML, and communicates well within the development team. Further responsibilities include: working with other IT groups such as Oracle administrators, assisting with the creation of technical documentation to describe the development/configuration changes and supporting the PCM quality requirements.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist in the process to analyzetranslate business processes and requirements into technical design specifications, and document the technical requirements with the development team.
2. Assists with light Project Management duties when required within the technical group.
3. Interfaces with the customer at certain levels.
4. Assists the technical architect as needed for system architecture design.
5. Assist in performing a technical gap analysis, problem detection and problem resolution.
6. Conform to Project Control Methodology (PCM) usage and compliance with development methods and tools.
7. Perform and/or ensure application unit testing is conducted in a proper way to ensure high quality.
8. Provide guidance and mentorship as needed to junior developers on the team.
9. Conduct regression testing manually or using an automated tool.
10. Travel to domestic and international locations as needed.

SKILLS:

- Technical knowledge of Siebel Applications including Siebel data model and functionality specific to Siebel Service, Siebel Sales, eService, EAI.
- Change management control and documentation.
- Hands-on experience in Siebel enterprise design and installation, Siebel configurations with tools, design and implementation of business rules using Assignment manager, Workflow, Run-time events, scripting, modification of look and feel of Siebel in a web environment, etc.
- Hands on experience and knowledge of XML is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with middleware applications such as BizTalk or MSMQ preferred.
- Hands-on experience in CTI integration with Siebel, design of reports with third party tools including Actuate and/or Crystal Reports. (nice to have, but not necessary)
- Ability to understand customer requirements, offer potential technical options, and document these at a detailed technical level.
- Thorough understanding of software development methodology.
- Siebel administration experience
- Basic Oracle 9i, 10g, and 11 database knowledge a plus

LANGUAGES:

- Fluent English, in both spoken and written.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- BS or equivalent experience in IT field
- 3 years IT related experience
- Minimum 2 years Siebel related experience
- Siebel 7 or higher professional certification preferred
- Must have at least 1 full-cycle Siebel development experience at least one of which must have been in Siebel 7 or greater.
- Has worked successfully in an independent and team environment.
- Experience in production support of Siebel applications.
