Project Managers within the Global Infrastructure & Operations , Technical Consulting Services areaThe main purpose of Technical Consulting Services (TCS) in I&O Site APAC is to create Business Value by delivering high skilled Project Managers, Process Analysts, Infrastructure Architects, Technical Specialists and Generalists for Projects, Process Development and Product Development in Region APAC and on a global basis.
Background:- The demands for technical resources to support a number of Integration and migration Projects, in support of Volvo's Growth plans in Region APAC has been considerable during 2007, and it is believed that these demands will continue and probably increase over the next few years.In order to ensure that Global I&O are able to satisfy these demand in a cost effective way the decision has been taken to create an Organisation within Region APAC. The organisation will be known as TCS in Asia and will be based in Kuala Lumpur. Start up activities will start immediately and it is anticipated that the resources will grow up to 20 persons by the end of the 2008. It is envisioned however that resources will start being made available to existing project activities before mid year.
We are looking for Project Managers with excellent leadership skills to work within a global organisation, in the Infrastructure area. You should have at least 5 years documented experience as Project Manager and feel comfortable working in a global environment with a complex stakeholder structure.
Qualifications/competencies:· University degree in IS/IT or similar experience · Experience in infrastructure operations and system development · Strong and proven Project Management skills, PROPS, PCM, RUP, PMI, IPMA or eq.· Structured, analytic and global mindset· Business and customer oriented· Fluent in English, both written and spoken· Experience from multicultural environment· Creative, driven and positive attitude· Consultancy environment experience· Lead through Volvo ITs values: Respect, Professionalism and Spirit.
The Role will involve International travel, and the successful candidate must be prepared to spend significant time working with VIT Customers on their Sites.
