Senior Engineer - Subscribe & Save Services

Who We Are?
Since we first launched Subscribe and Save program (SnS) on March 2015, the business has grown as one of the most successful business of Coupang. Many customers love this program because of its convenience and the program is key lever of Coupang’s Retail business that generates lot of free cash flow. As an end-to-end platform, we have been driving conversion from Front end and increased quality of customer orders and we’ve owned last mile customer experience of Fulfillment, Delivery, and CS. We will keep investing to core program and product development in order to remove customers’ hassle from their lives and keep giving financial benefit to Retail business.

We are looking for a Senior Engineer who will play a major role in our teams in designing and building these systems. You will contribute your technical expertise to enhance the overall technical architecture and engineering practices. You will be faced with unique challenges and complex technical problems while building the systems with highly scalable and reliable services oriented architecture and design. You will provide overall technical vision when designing and building the software, ensuring the system is evolving in the right long term direction while bringing value to customers.

To succeed in this role, you must be a skilled designer, builder and operator.
Responsibilities:
? Actively participate in our most demanding, cross-functional projects.
? Work on or Drive the highest quality of architecture and design of systems.
? Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward, testable and maintainable solutions.
? Inspect and solve technical problems such as performance, scalability, availability and maintainability, in a fast and comprehensive manner.
? Leverage knowledge of internal and industry best practices in design.
? Assist in the career development of other engineers within the same team or tribe by actively mentoring individuals on advanced technical issues, and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.
? Influence or motivate the team members and increase their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor or above degree in Computer Science or related field
? 6+ years of experience in software development in Object Oriented language
? 6+ years of experience in building large-scale projects
? Ability in mentoring junior engineers to success
? Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead collaboration across teams
? Ability to deal with ambiguity in business and technology and to focus on delivering results
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience in building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems.
? Experience with relational and NoSQL data sources
? 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Senior-level Engineer
? Desire to guide junior engineers through design and architecture
? Desire to do deep dive analysis while problem solving
? Professional experience in front-end technologies and frameworks, such as JQuery, ReactJs, Redux, ES6, Grunt/Gulp.
