I. PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The aftermarket service engineer is responsible to carry out professional high standard recommendation on maintenance in mills and to promote spare parts. To that extend, he visits mills, gives recommendation on how to perform maintenance activities, audits parts inventory and recommends spare parts. Installed base of washing, bleaching, and screening and stock preparation equipment, as well as BTF Systems and cleaners are involved.
II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Visit Mills and make recommendations on maintenance activities
? Visit mill during shutdown to audit our equipment and make recommendations for the next shutdown.
? Audit levels of parts inventory and recommend “packaged” spare parts
? Coordinate efforts with other Account managers for better coverage of GL&V’s market.
? Assume a leadership role in documenting the installed equipment base and in creating mill-specific Sales strategies designed to deliver value to the customer.
? Regularly offer feedback and observations regarding the status of the integrated sales, marketing and communications strategy ongoing in his/her territory.
? Maintains a high profile in the territory/region by participating in local trade organizations and their sponsored events
? Regularly maintain a current database of all customer specifying, purchasing and decision-making influences in each mill via GLV Central.
? Support field service when necessary
? Deliberately and regularly involves all relevant Product personnel in documenting and planning progress against the Sales Strategy
? Promotes products and services directly or with assistance from Product Management
? Coordinates the creation of quotations that reflect customer defined value
? Makes presentations to emphasize the features and benefits of our equipment and address specific customer needs.
? Contributes to the rolling forecast and other planning processes in a timely fashion
? Leads or assists in buying negotiations
? Coordinates the resolution of customer complaints and disputes, including any back charges and performance issues.
? Assists with difficult accounts receivable situations
? Recommends product development ideas.
? Recommends improvements in internal processes
? Performs other duties as assigned
III. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
? Relevant engineering degree, preferably in pulp and paper or mechanical with equipment sales or hands-on field service engineering background.
? Ability to make recommendation in order to solve practical problems relative to non-quality in manufacturing.
? Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a technical level with a variety of current and potential customers.
? Demonstrated sales and service orientation.
? Proficient with computer using company-standard software.
? Have 10 experiences in pulp & paper industry or know papermaking process
? Adapt to intensive business travel
? Must be able to work independently.
? As a negotiator and can get along with others.
? Can write and read English.
Location:
Shanghai or some other city with convenient transportation.
