Report to: Engineering Manager

Position Summary:

- Provide technical guidance and fundamentals understanding of the chemistry of materials: binders, fillers (particle/filler morphology, packing and dispersion) and processing issues related to filled elastomeric polymers. Focus will be primarily on thermally or electrically conductive filled silicones, epoxies and urethanes. Lead a team (3-5 associates) of materials specialists (scientists, engineers, and technicians) to effectively commercialize new elastomeric products from concept to commercialization.

Job Requirements/Tasks

- Hands on scientific and analytical approaches to product development on Thermal/EMI Product Group.

- Ability to interface with key customers and make presentations to various customers in support of developing/executing "technology roadmaps", specific customer applications in support of Field Sales, etc.

- Capable of developing proposals for IR&D-based on market/customer/ needs.

- Provide highly effective project management to team-based product development efforts.

- Effectively communicate with peers, management and customers to define and sell product needs.

- Highly motivated, team player and results oriented.

- Monitor and update Chomerics of new and developing technologies that may impact company products and markets.

- Represent Chomerics at high-level technical meetings and customers

- Good English in written and oral, able to freely communicate with US associates

Qualifications:

- Possess high level understanding of the chemistry and processing of filled elastomers and/or adhesives as demonstrated by a track record of successful product development.

- Preferred 2-5 years relevant experience in formulating or processing experience for elastomers and adhesives-silicones, Epoxy, urethanes, etc.

- Master degree or above in polymer sciences or materials technology with emphasis on formulation in support of filled systems (elastomers or adhesives)

- Demonstrated capability in Team Leadership.
