Objectives of the job:

- Ensure that the projects are executed according to the schedule, budget and specifications, in coordination with process, engineering and electrical/automation departments of the regional Engineering Hub.

- Be the project owner for engineering until delivery to the customer (Operations RAP)

- Support and "coach" the teams in Operations, as well as support M&A projects (Due Diligence, integration, etc).

Performance Measurement: ?

- Project cost - Cost over runs caused by wrong project execution.

- Project Schedule - Commercially available products as per initial schedule

- Project quality - Cost effective, high performance

Responsibilities:

Project Execution:

- Ensure specifications and Group recommendations are implemented for all projects.

- Make recommendations for improvements of modular plant project.

- Project timing control, budget control and project quality control

- Issue project cost and schedule updates.

- Be present onsite during project execution (Civil works, whole construction and commissioning)

- Ensure compliance with safety and environment regulations.

Engineering:

- Prepare projects proposal: Process set up, equipments selection, basic layout finalization and detailed budget / schedule / production cost (CAPEX, OPEX).

- Coordination with Competence Center for standard technology adaptation.

Operations support:

- Train & coach the plant teams in transferring company's know-how to operate and optimize the operations with the best efficiency.

- Participate in Merger & Acquisition projects in China (Due Diligence, Integration, etc).

People Management:

- Management of direct reports, including succession planning, hiring, training, communication, organizational development (structure and processes), personal development, etc in coordination with Head of Engineering Hub-RAP and HR Manager.

Shared Responsibilities:

- Technical lead and execution of projects (shared with RAP Engineering Hub members)

- Recommendation to the Head of Engineering Hub for project improvements.

Excluded Responsibilities:

- Global & Regional Standards / Methods / Guidelines re. any Engineering, Design or Operational matters.

Education / experiences /skills / competencies required:

- Tertiary education (Bachelor of Electrical/Mechanical or Master of Electrical/Mechanical)

- Extensive experience in project execution (8 to10 years)

- Ability to find solutions, achieve objectives and drive to completion

- Ability or experience to lead contractors on the project execution.

- Leadership and people management skills, ability to motivate team.

- Excellent organizational and planning skills

- High level communication skills

- Team player, excellent interpersonal skills and understanding of different cultures / work environments

- Good command of Chinese & English both in oral and written is a must
