Position summary
Adobe China R&D's Solution Center is recruiting for a talented and highly motivated Program Manager to drive a team, focusing on delivering custom-developed solutions and technical consultation for Adobe enterprise customers. This Program Manager will be working closely with local management team Adobe Consulting Services org in North America in the "on-shore / off-shore" model and drive the local team to develop and test solutions. This role will work with on-shore Project Managers, Product Owner, Solution Architect and UX Designer through the whole life cycle of solution projects. Excellent English verbal communications is expected.
Responsibilities
? Ensure the high quality of team's delivery in each phase of a solution development project
? Work closely with local management team and Adobe Consulting Services to define and refine process.
? Evaluates existing processes and procedures. Makes recommendations and drives process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools, metrics etc) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
? Project planning within on-shore/off-shore working model: Work closely with on-shore project manager to establish an overall project plan including key milestones and milestone criteria, and drives progress to achieve project plan within time, resource and budget constraints.
? Closely tracking the project progress on all aspects and update the project status on various communication channels. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion
? Aggregates, organizes, and synthesizes program and project information in order to communicate with both on-shore and off-shore teams
? Effectively facilitates communication. Drive discussions among development team, testing team, Product Owner, Solution Architect and etc. Capable to lead complicated technical discussion and convey tech proposals effectively
? Performs risk management and identify contingency plan. Understands and assesses/identify critical paths and internal/external dependencies for delivering and shipping projects
? Timely and informative reporting of status; effectively and diplomatically communicates risk; makes practical and useful suggestions
? Drive the team to follow the engineering best practices in an Agile (SCRUM) process
? Manage multiple tasks efficiently; High degree of quality and productivity; Self-directed; Self-pacing
Requirements
? Bachelor degree or above, in Computer Science or relevant
? 3+ years of software project/program management experiences.
? Adequate J2EE hands-on skills to drive troubleshooting and monitor development & testing progress with first-hand info
? Passion for creating world class enterprise solutions.
? Fully understands the triple constraint of Schedule, Quality and Functionality.
? Solid knowledge of software development fundamentals - has worked on teams using different SDLCs [software development lifecycles or processes]
? Practical experience in driving an Agile (SCRUM) team
? Logic thinking and structured approach during problem solving.
? Experience modifying and/or defining processes rather than applying what exists today.
? Evidenced ability to sustain positive, forward momentum in confusing circumstances.
? High tolerance for ambiguity.
? Excellent English reading and writing skills. Fluent oral English.
? Be highly responsible, proactive, adaptable and good team player.
? Ideally candidates would have experience in delivering complex web applications
? Cross sites collaboration experience in multinational companies is a plus.
