POSITION - Recruiter, Burson-Marsteller China
FUNCTION
The Recruiter is responsible for delivering facets of recruiting success throughout Burson-Marsteller China. This will be achieved through the development of local and national recruiting plans, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting ideas. The Recruiter will play a critical role in ensuring we hire the best-fit talents.
Primary Objectives
1. Recruitment
l Work closely with China HR Manager on recruitment plan.
l Work with the China HR Manager and Staffing Officer to efficiently and effectively fill open positions.
l Define the appropriate job descriptions with the support of business leaders.
l Post openings in relevant job boards, B-M alumni networks, B-M Source, with professional organizations, and in other appropriate venues.
l Actively search for and identify appropriate candidates per request.
l Review applicants to evaluate qualifications and other conditions
l Candidates screening and interviewing
l Recommend proper candidates to business leaders/hiring managers effectively and efficiently
l Negotiate offer with candidates
l Prepare hiring request in line with the company process.
l Prepare offer letter to candidates after hire request is approved
l Conduct regular follow-up with business leaders to ensure the effectiveness of recruiting plans implementation.
l Provide timely update on hiring status to relevant business leaders and hiring managers.
l Maintain regular contact with possible future candidates.
2.Networking and Establishment of Candidate Pool
l Work closely with the Staffing Officer in develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need.
l Jointly work with the Staffing Officer in conducting talent mapping and creating contacts within the PR industry.
l Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads.
l Utilize the Internet for recruitment.
--Post positions to appropriate Internet sources.
--Improve the company website recruiting page to assist in recruiting.
--Research new ways of using the Internet for recruitment.
--Use social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates.
l Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
3. Burson-Marsteller's university internship program initiatives
l Lead and Coordinate the Burson-Marsteller Internship Program.
l Develop working relationships within colleges to aid in recruiting.
l Work closely with the Staffing Officer in attending relevant university activities for recruiting and for increasing college awareness of the company.
4. Administrative duties
l Properly manage the use of recruiters and headhunters.
l Support the Staffing Officer in maintaining and best utilizing the B-M Employee/Alumni Referral Incentive Program
l Maintain the talent database and work on the seamless connection with the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
l Conduct reference checks (background checks where needed) for potential employees
l Write and forward rejection letters.
l Coordinate with the HR colleagues to prepare and deliver orientation packages to the new employees.
l Work on other HR projects assigned by the HR Manager
Employer Branding
l Work together with the Staffing Officer and the Marketing team in establishing a recognizable employer of choice reputation for the company, both internally and externally.
l Locate and document where to find ideal candidates.
l Attend career fairs for recruiting and company recognition.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
l Minimum 3 years' experience with recruitment; experience in a PR / Advertisement agency or professional services firm is preferred.
l Proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
l Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
l Effective oral and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
l General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
l Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
l Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
l Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
l Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
l Ability to travel for recruitment meetings, college visits, and career fairs and maintain a flexible work schedule.
l Excellent organizational skills.
l Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
l Gather and analyze information skillfully.
l Demonstrate resourcefulness and initiative in dealing with daily assumptions.
l Bachelor/Marster degree is required.
