Job Responsibilities



Play a key role in the design,testing and support of complex,multi-tiered distributed software business applications; collaborate with other QA engineers, team leaders, project managers, developers and Customers representatives to:



1. Analyze product or customer requirements, identify requirement gaps, and suggest improvements on user experiences;

2. Participate from the early phases in the product analysis, case design and dataset preparation with the development manager;

3. Create test plans & test cases, perform test execution and verification with a team of testers, report defects and suggest improvements;

4. Develop and maintain test automation scripts;

5. Good knowledge of functional and integration testing, regression testing;

6. Support of User Acceptance Tests;

7. Design training material and demonstrations. Train fellow project members;

8. Communicate status & issues in a timely fashion and manage escalations appropriately;

9. Proactively solve issues and suggest process improvements;

10.Identify project risks, recommend and take actions to minimize risks.




Job Requirements:



1. Strong understanding of QA methodology;

2. Minimum 2-3 years of experience testing multi-tiered and distributed J2EE internet applications;

3. Proven experience in reviewing product requirements/specification, designs, test plans and test documentation;

4. Experience in working with defect analysis and measuring quality;

5. Excellent problem solving skills as well as defect isolation skills;

6. Required experience with SQL/relational databases. Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL is a plus;

7. Professional programming experience would be a plus, in particular in the area of UNIX scripting and Java development.Project experience with Weblogic or other J2EE application servers is desired.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required. Fluency in French desired;

9. Bachelors Degree or above.
