Job Description

As a member of Greater China Service
Delivery Organization, the Technical Support Specialist reports to Manager,
Technical Support. He/She is responsible for the customer facing on
boarding support, operation technical support as the second level (Tier 2) of
the digital products/solutions in China market.


Key Roles and Responsibilities


  • Digital products/solutions on boarding
    support, including but not limited to account activation, on boarding training,
    user instruction, LMS integration. Co-work with PM, Sales, and other necessary
    functions, to activate the users adopting Pearson’s digital products successfully.
  • As the role of Technical Specialist,
    provide the acceptable resolutions towards the technical incidents, problems,
    and enquiries raised by customers, in the manner of on-site support and remote
    support. As the second level (Tier 2) technical support, receive the
    issues escalated from Tier 1, and escalate the identified/suspected product
    defects or further support seeking to technology and product teams
    as Tier 3.
  • When necessary, deliver technical reports
    to customers, in the stages of on boarding and operation support,
    covering single technical issue, as well as summarized service report.
  • Customer satisfaction and loyalty
    maintenance during the day to day on boarding and operation support, be the
    customers’ trusted advisor, for better user experience.
  • On behalf of Pearson Technical Support,
    attending the pre-sales task force, supporting Sales on products/solutions
    selling.


Key Requirements


  • Bachelor and/or Master Degree
  • 5+ years technical support or development
    experience in education on-line/digital products/solutions
  • The solid knowledge of TCP/IP, HTML,
    CSS, JS, MySQL
  • Be familiar with SCORM courseware
    development and application, be familiar with Moodle, BB
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving
    skills
  • Ability to proactively manage multiple
    commitments and tasks
  • CAN DO attitude and good communication
    skills
  • Fluent English in oral and writing
