Job Description
- Able to lead the design and development of engineering projects from conception to Production.
- Able to review and revise existing designs for improvement in manufacturability and functionality.
- Responsible for the design and documentation of enclosures, plastic molds, test equipment and related electro-mechanical assemblies using solid modeling techniques.
- Will consult with local and international cross-functional teams for definition and design requirements.
- Possess engineering skills & methodologies to meet design requirements.
- Apply technical and practical knowledge of mechanical hardware industry along with expert knowledge of engineering processes and techniques to create required 3D model designs.
- Should be an expert in analyzing mechanical systems and understand tolerances in order to achieve excellent design concepts for production fixtures & jigs from conception to production.
Requirements
- BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical design engineering industry along with the design of automation fixtures, production jigs, & plastic injection molds is preferred.
- Technical expertise in 3D solid modeling. Proficiency in thermal analysis & structural analysis is a Plus.
- Proficient in GD&T required.
- Works independently, initiates reviews of ideas with Manufacturing, Production & Engineering on 3D design concepts.
- Must have competent in 2D & 3D modeling (Solid Works, Inventor & AutoCAD preferred) .
- Good written & communication skills in both English and Mandarin is a preferred.
- Applied knowledge of sheet-metal, die-casting, machining, painting and coating processes are required).
- Strong technical problem solving skills.
- Possess extensive knowledge of manufacturing techniques and process capabilities in the electronics industry.
