Liaison for Acrolein Plant Operations in China

Work Location : Beijing Or Shanghai

Job Description:

General oversight of packaging operations - this is not a supervisory role; rather it is a monitoring role. All acrolein manufacturing, container maintenance, and filling will be conducted by acrolein plant personnel. Our representative may assist with these operations, but the primary responsibility will be to represent Multi-Chem to ensure that our interests are protected with respect to product quality, container integrity, safety of product transport, and that proper documentation is developed and reported. This employee will also play a key role in maintaining a good working relationship for Multi-Chem with acrolein manufacturing plant personnel and local regulatory officials. This employee will be required to:

- Verify condition of containers arriving from US

- Verify that the containers are properly cleaned, tested, repaired, and prepared for filling with product

- Verify that product quantities are accurate and that certificates of analyses are acceptable

- Verify that filled containers are properly monitored for signs of polymerization

- Verify that filled containers are properly loaded for transport and that all labels and shipping documents are in order

- Collecting, storing, and shipping product retains

- Acting as liaison between Multi-Chem and acrolein plant management to resolve any product quality issues that may arise

- Prepare written reports detailing product handling procedures for each container

- Verify that relevant equipment is being properly calibrated and maintained

- Facilitate communications between Multi-Chem, Shipping Companies, Freight Forwarders, acrolein manufacturing plant personnel, and regulatory agencies within China and the US

- Become an expert with respect to acrolein chemistry

- Develop a detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements with respect to acrolein import, export, shipping, and handling

Experience and Skill Requirements:

- B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related discipline

- 2-3 years chemical plant operations experience

- Fluent in written and spoken English (Must)
