Market Manager
You are a hungry and enthusiastic negotiator with the ability to interact and influence at all levels. You love a good deal and securing the best contract possible. You thrive off business development but also enjoy analytical and strategic thinking. You want to work for the leading wholesale tour operator. If this sounds like you, GTA Hong Kong is looking for a Market Manager to successfully maximize revenue, profit and develop strong commercial relationships with hotel partners.
This is a fast-paced commercial role so passion, positivity and a ‘can do’ attitude is essential to its success. We are seeking a fun, dynamic individual who loves to travel. You will have ambitious targets to hit and some big accounts to develop and the market is very competitive. You will need to think on your feet whilst influencing and managing stakeholders internally and externally.
GTA Hong Kong is a fast pace environment and we are looking for an agile, team member who is passionate about what we do. As a successful Market Manager you will have:
? Strong commercial awareness with previous contracting, sales, business development and/or revenue management experience - preferably within tourism and, even better, hotel contracting experience
? Working knowledge of hotel distribution including revenue management
? Proven analytical skills and strategic thinking - this truly is a must
? Excellent negotiation skills - a go getter who is determined!
? Experience working in a multi-cultural organization and working with people with a variety of cultures
? In tune with the distribution landscape including shifts in preferred hotel distribution channels and industry technology (i.e. Pegasus, XML etc.)
You will have…
? Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships with individuals and hotel partners using an open and consultative approach
? Highly developed communication (both verbal and written) and presentation skills
? IT proficiency including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (with particular focus on manipulating data via Excel pivot) and Internet technologies.
? Solid experience and commercial knowledge of the travel & hospitality industries, key competitors, industry issues and related technology.
? A passion to work collaboratively in a group and have an innate willingness to dig in and contribute with your team

? Experience with Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
? Self-starter with ability to work individually and as part of a broader team
? Relationship management skills
? Strong decision-making ability
