Objective of job
This position is in the area of IT management – supporting running systems as well as rolling out IT projects to
support the area of Financial Services (e.g. Retail and Wholesale financing, credit operations, sales, insurance,
leasing and more).
Main fields:
- Manage retail finance applications for China and Hongkong business, ensure system operation, enhance system to improve user experience.
o Demand management: consult, change and operate related to retail systems. Deliver stable processes and systems which enable the efficient and secure operation of the retail business.
o Incident and problem management: identify, analysis and follow up with vendors and services providers timely to provide fix solutions to ensure business operations.
o Manage and monitor quality of vendors and service providers and ensure changes are specified, developed, tested and deployed professionally, in time and in high quality to ensure the functionality and integrity of the systems and associated tools.
- Lead and execute IT projects:
o Execute project under agreed project scope, timeline and budget.
o Manage and co-ordinate project team members, vendors and service providers; provide project execution report to overall project manager and stakeholders.
- Backup and support IT Retail Manager whenever is necessary.
Task designation
1 Operation Management:
- Monitor and manage retail systems proactively to ensure stable operation support to business.
- Execution system configuration accurately.
2 Incident/Problem Management:
- Identify, analysis and apply resolutions to incidents in order to ensure daily operation and system transactions.
- Follow up with vendors and services providers to ensure all system problems are logged, solved completely in time.
3 Demand Management:
- Consult business with professional IT solutions to full fill business request on enhance system functionalities.
- Follow change approval process with regional IT team, application service manager and local management on execute and implement change requests.
- Manage vendors, monitor their service deliveries and shipments of releases, patches and new version of software. Coordinate service providers during change implementation.
4 Vendor Management
- Cross culture vendor management with all vendors and suppliers to achieve goal of smooth operation support and project implementation
- Maintain relationship with vendors.
5 Project Implementation:
- Lead ITM (IT management) projects assigned by higher management
- Update on project status and project reports
- Project execution
Qualification required
Education
University Degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or equivalent. Ideally dual education in IT and Finance/Business Administration
IT Experience
- 5 years IT related working experience in application consulting/application support, experience with finance applications is plus.
- In-deep experience in consult business on gather and analysis user requirements, document and management of change requests to IT systems.
- In-deep experience of implementing financial application projects.
- Solid experience in developing and implementing production test plans, procedures and test documentation
- Experience on manage external suppliers & service providers.
- In-deep on MS SQL/Oracle Database is plus.
Special Knowledge
- Experiences on Project Management and ITIL.
- Skills on Weblogic/Websphere, Network, Infrastructure is preferred.
- Business knowledge on auto mobile loan is preferred.
- Strong analytical Skills; strong and flexible of dealing with the typical tensions that arise within an IT service environment
- Excellent Customer Service Focus (focus on customer as the top priority, keep abreast of customer needs and priorities, and provide value to the customer).
- Team-working attitude with strong desire to learn.
- Good time management skills, ability to multi-task and handle pressure without compromising level of customer service or required detail.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English combined with the ability to communicate effectively.
