Job Summary
Red Hat is looking for a Lead Generation Specialist to join us in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. In this role, you'll help our customers and prospects advance their digital transformation goals and be successful in early-stage projects with Red Hat technologies. You will speak with technical and business contacts with an interest in new technology and initiatives. You'll work closely with Red Hat’s Strategic Business Development and Marketing teams and perform inbound, outbound, and nurturing activities within a set of campaigns and strategic accounts. This is a great opportunity to make an impact at Red Hat by collaborating with customers as they define their cloud and application development strategies to support a wide range of business initiatives.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Receive and qualify inbound leads related to your technology area
Collaborate with Asia Pacific (APAC) Marketing and Strategic Business Development to run targeted outbound campaigns
Nurture prospects with relevant, value-add contact that helps them progress their initiatives and achieve their goals
Learn extensively about your technology area both by participating regularly in coaching sessions with the Strategic Business Development team and through your own initiative
Keep an up to date knowledge of the industry and Red Hat's competitive position
Plan your daily and weekly activity intelligently in order to achieve against pre-defined quarterly qualified pipeline generation and bookings targets
Maintain accurate and updated activity, lead, and pipeline records
Be able to provide regular and ad hoc activity and forecast reports to senior management
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree or a technical degree
Excellent communication in written and spoken English; Hindi and Mandarin language skills are a plus
Ability to hold engaging conversations with prospects and share Red Hat’s cloud vision in a compelling manner
Agility to demonstrate value and move conversations with prospects forward, despite their goals with our technology being non-standard or ambiguous
Demonstrable knowledge of a buying cycle within an IT organization, preferably around new, emerging technology initiatives and the business drivers that they support
Passion for sales and marketing
Good understanding of current technology trends and market conditions
Motivation to learn and advance in a successful software organization
Flexibility and adaptability to excel in a newly established team
3-5 years previous customer-facing o remote-selling experience; successful record performing outbound sales development activities preferred
