Mission of function
- Alignment of range of products and systems of CPS across segments towards common value proposition of energy efficiency, comfort, fire safety and intelligence; development of CPS portfolio towards attractive market segments and promising forward looking offerings; identification of new growth opportunities for own region but also in conjunction with global programs

Task
- Develop business plans for new business opportunities. Including business models, partnering models, etc.
The scope of this task can be CPS CN only, a part of a CPS global program or a program across multiple business units (e.g. BT-wide).
- Establish and maintain full market picture across segments including appropriate market segmentation (e.g. products and applications (i.e. value and quantity), channels, customer segments).
- Develop and establish trend and competitor overview across segments.
- Support marketing communication activities on CPS BU level (e.g. image marketing / horizontal topics)
- Act as sparrings partner for segments in project agreement process and enforce portfolio alignment across segments in close collaboration with segments and BD;
- Identify and assess new technologies, products or services in CPS' core business and adjacent fields that could revolutionize our business or represent a major business opportunity.
- Support global strategy definition processes, especially CPS strategy review and innovation review as well as global reportings (e.g. Balanced Scorecard and SMART / M3 reporting)

Education and Language
- Typically degree in electrical-, SW- or HVAC engineering;
- Business, marketing and/or economics (e.g. MBA, executive master, …)
- Good command of English
