Job description and responsibilities
- Manage and develop suppliers of Mobility & Logistics division (mainly in business units Infrastructure Logistics - Maintain strong relationship with cross functional sourcing team and project execution team.
- Support sourcing activities to identify, audit and evaluate existing and new suppliers. Such activities includes, supplier classification audit and process audit, set up and implement action plans, follow-up and continuous improvement of supplier quality.
- Define Quality Milestones with supplier during the kick-of meeting, with regular follow-up during project implementation.
- Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) / FAI (First Article Inspection) with technical engineer, lead relative inspections.
- Assist suppliers to reach the production quality expected by Siemens.
- Assure manufacturing progress of suppliers to meet project delivery schedule.
- Report, assure and close open issues of all non-conformities in production according to PDCA method.
- Collect all relative information in a database and analyze relevant improvement actions.
- Control documentation of suppliers according to ISO 9001 and contractual requirements.
- Submit monthly quality report / relevant indicators to Head of SQE.
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor engineering degree or higher in mechanical/electrical/manufacturing/material with more than 5 years working experience in manufacturing and processing technologies, such as, machining, assembling, surface treatment or any industrial business. Welding is a plus.
- Knowledgeable of materials technology
- Knowledgeable of relevant supplier quality control process
- Knowledgeable of measuring and testing technology
- Knowledgeable of quality techniques
- ISO 9001 system knowledge. Knowledge about ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, VDA 6.1 / 6.3 are a plus. Certificated quality engineer is a plus.
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and work as a team player in cross functional team
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently (including overnight trips) on short notice.
- Fluent Mandarin & English (spoken and written) and German as a plus.
