Employee’s area of responsibility
- What is the type, volume and range of technical, commercial and (where appropriate) managerial areas of responsibilities held by the employee? (Specify in the form of brief notes if there have been any significant changes since the last discussion)
- Responsible for service business with a focus, such as, spare parts sale, overhaul, revamping, etc. of Siemens steam turbine products in China.
- To act in the capacity of a service sales engineer for steam turbine aftermarket services in China. Liaison with customers and be the first line of communication for operational issues. Give technical assistance to customers. - To manage and direct the day to day activities for customers as the interface for service customers and to ensure customer satisfaction. - Identify and capitalize on opportunities to sell service products. Agree approach strategy and priority for each target prospect with the sales colleagues - Provide concepts for operations improvement or process equipment modifications. Promote actively process unit revamps. - Organise and plan customer visits on a regular basis to ensure that the customers needs are being met and feedback is obtained in order to improve the level of service provided. - Review customers steam turbine modification and retrofit/revamp status. - Assist in building up and maintaining meaningful machine records and back-up documentation. Provide and analyse relevant market information. - Management reporting to supervisor to ensure the identification of potentials to improve profitability/future sales and to ensure customer satisfaction. - Provide support for site activities, troubleshooting, customer technical queries and breakdowns (site visits may be required).

Knowledge and Experiences
- What knowledge, experience and capabilities are necessary and should be particularly strong to fulfill the areas of responsibility? (reference to job profile recommended)

Knowledge:
- Steam Turbine technology
- Good communication skills to understand customer situation. Ability to structure situation and issues for peers and management.
- Good negotiation skills for win-win solutions. Ability to build awareness for the need of service and the associated economic value.
- Project management
- Quality management
- Decision making
- Service technologies (spares manufacturing, repairs, diagnostics)

Experiences:
- Experience with the operation/maintenance of steam turbine required.
- Planning, purchasing and implementation of service products from an operator's point of view. Supervision of contractors and management of personnel during operation and maintenance activities.
- Experience in negotiating with suppliers and contractors. Record of ability to generate win-win solutions in difficult situations.
