Applications Engineer Intern (Engineering Leadership Program) – Digilent China （NI wholly owned subsidiary）

The Applications Engineer intern role is part of our Engineering Leadership Program. The successful candidate will take the lead on conceiving, designing, developing and deploying integrated hardware software(FPGA based) as well as technical documents/publications to generate demand and build brand awareness based on business objectives, customer insight, and local market trends. He or she will work closely with sales, marketing colleagues to support strategic sales and marketing onsite activities when necessary. FPGA related technical support is the key part of this job.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with local Pioneer lead users, our partners (especially Xilinx University Program) , local marketing department and Digilent Corporate to develop ecosystems, demos and sales enablements to support our core platforms and products
- Provide technical support to the customers via phone and email
- Configure and demonstrate Digilent(Xilinx) FPGA related systems to customers
- Attend and support strategic sales and marketing onsite and online activities
- Conduct technical seminars and present customer training for Digilent Products
 
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or Instrumentation
- Capable of building systems by using VHDL/Verilog, C, Python and/or Hardware tools
- Experience with Xilinx toolchain(ISE and Vivado) and PCB hardware design is preferred
- Interested in working directly with customers to help them solve technical problems and learn how to apply our products to their applications
- Excellent technical training and communication (oral and written) skills
- Strong ability to solve problems and work independently
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese
- Willing to transfer to the position of Sales, Marketing, R&D or Services/Solutions after finishing ELPE intern program. Time period for AE intern program is from 3 months to 13 months.
- Knowledge/experience of Digilent, Xilinx, Microchip, ADI, TI software or hardware is a very important plus
