The Asia/Pacific director leads a team of global sourcing experts accountable for the sourcing and contracting of indirect materials and service providers for a specific set of global spend categories and other local or regional suppliers of materials and/or services of spend for Asia. In addition, s/he provides sourcing and contracting for local and regional suppliers of materials and/or services. This position may be located at any Agilent A/P location.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the on-going development and implementation of Procure to Pay processes and business controls to enable compliancy and meet business requirements in Asia region. Develop next phases of process improvements to create efficient and effective/accurate results on key compliance concerns, yet provide simple user interfaces. Leverage learnings across GS organization and other regions.

For assigned categories, provide strategic global leadership to develop strategies for cost savings, performance improvement, and compliance improvements.

Develop and implement rigorous methods for supplier selection, management and performance review and development in order to assure suppliers within category meet or exceed goals and commitments.

Develop and maintain strong external relationships with suppliers and industry leaders to monitor trends, best practices and benchmarking. Develop methods to effectively share data through analytical, statistical and financial methods. Focus should also include regional trends and action plans.

Build collaborative relationships with internal business partners and stakeholders. Develop strategies with suppliers that align with business needs and are balanced with Global Sourcing metrics and goals for supply base size, leverage and spend. Focus should also include specific strategies for local and regional supply base and any unique business needs within region.

Contribute to overall Global Sourcing leadership team in developing global strategies, business objectives, goals and metrics. Within categories and region, represent entire global sourcing goals and priorities. Act as regional representative for implementation and alignment of all categories and GS objectives, including business controls and compliancy.

Own regional sourcing compliancy and business controls of suppliers and service providers within assigned categories and region. Provide on-going leadership to improvements needed in compliancy and performance.

Provide leadership to continue development of organizational capabilities of team members. This includes continuous improvement in performance, engagement and results. Also lead internal collaboration across global organization and peers to maximize GS performance and results.


Qualifications:

* Bachelors or Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent plus demonstrated industry experience
* Broad knowledge in Sourcing and proven ability to define and/or oversee design of program or organization strategies.
* Minimum 7 years of increasing global managerial responsibilities in Materials and Procurement and Supplier Management
* Experience negotiating contracts with a track record of meeting business requirements like cost reductions, improved service etc.
* Ability to lead complex process improvement programs, projects and activities
* Track record of continuous process improvements through use of Six Sigma, Lean, TQC or other proven methods.
* Track record of strong communication and teamwork skills
