Main Job Advertisement (Quality Control Technical Clerk)
SinoStruct is a part of the Monadelphous group based in Western Australia. As a result of the continued growth and strategic expansion at SinoStruct, an opportunity exists for a Quality Control technical clerk preferably with some steel/fabrication background to join our growing team.
You will report directly to the resident Senior QC Coordinator to ensure that all fabrication workshops are supplying all the required quality documents as per the nominated Code requirements, ITP and client specifications. Activities will include, but not limited to document review as directed by the Senior QC Coordinator, follow up on outstanding reports from subcontractors, file and scan reviewed documents in the applicable project folders, actively assist in ongoing compilation of Manufacturers Data Reports(MDR). Generally assist where directed in other activities as may be required.
The minimum requirements are:
- Related engineering or discipline trade qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in the application of various steel fabrication codes and standards would be an advantage.
- Ability to work unsupervised on multiple project tasks
- Good English skills – verbal and written communication including computer skills
- Willing to travel
Quality planning:As directed by the Senior QC Coordinator ensure Implementation of Projects (ITP’s, Work Instruction, Client Specifications etc).
Technical advice and suppport:Provide technical advice and assistance to the local fabrication workshops as defined from the Sinostruct QC Superintendent / Senior QC Coordinator on all quality related activities.
Training and recruitment: Assist with training through experience of the on site Monadelphous/Sinostruct Quality management requirements to other relevant workshop personnel.
Verify suitability of qualifications/experience of sub-contractor personnel authorised to undertake inspection activities.
Client liaison:May be required to directly communicate directly with client representatives , in consultation with the on site Sinostruct Supervision, to review and resolve any complaints or concerns of clients from a quality perspective.
DOCUMENTATION REVIEWU:ndertake inspection activities and prepare inspection records in accordance with inspection and test plan or other agreed requirements.
Review quality documentation as directed by Senior QC Coordinator
Verify suitability of corrective or preventive action where required to eliminate existing or potential causes of non-conformance.
Compile inspection records as directed
Liase with Sinostruct sub contractors to ensure timely supply of quality records
Other:Undertake other tasks and projects to support Sinostruct projects.
