SUMMARY

The individual in this position will be responsible for preparing the Invisalign virtual set up’s from start to finish for treatments submitted to Align Technology from the customers in China.

Responsible for effectively, efficiently and promptly translating special instructions in Prescription Forms, Treatment Preferences and ClinCheck set up modification comments for the China customers.

The requirement is to translate from English language into Chinese and back from English to the Chinese language to assist in new documentation creation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

? The employee will be trained and must work on all the steps of the process, from the preparation of the virtual impressions, the treatment set up and the gingiva adjustment.
? All of these operations will be done by using the Align proprietary SW Treat, in addition to the submitting doctor’s prescription and the Align internal treatment protocols.
? The employee is responsible for planning and coordinating translation process to guarantee on time delivery of the ClinCheck set up for the China customers.
? Update and complete cases that have been assigned by the supervisors or managers, such as complaint follow ups, reassigned cases and any case requiring special translation assistance, this may require email follow up.
? Update and inform about incorrect or outdated customer’s and patient’s information, found on any of the customer databases.
? Propose ideas for procedures and processes to promote improved service and customer satisfaction and overall department improvements.
? The employee must show strong ability to understand orthodontic clinical concepts and have computer literacy.
? The employee must approve the training phase for this position in a good standard.
? It is expected that the employee works with high quality and in an efficient manner.
? It is expected that the employee follows production requirements from their Supervisors in a timely manner.

? Performance metrics including, but not limited to, volume handled, average handle time and quality.
? The employee may be identified to work on process improvements regarding quality, time and cost reduction.
? Actively participation and expectation to comply with all goals and objectives set for the team.
? Proactive participation to achieve the company’s Goals and Objectives.
? Work on any other activity assigned by his/her supervisor/manager.


SKILLS REQUIRED:

? Must be bilingual in Chinese-English. Proficient in both written and spoken.
? Individuals fulfilling this position should have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret orthodontic records, treatment prescriptions, and all internal communications. Operating procedures should be highly understood.
? Must show skills in the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers (both internal and external) effectively.
? Develop the ability to effectively present information to co-workers and supervisors.
? Ability to focus attention to detail.
? Ability to perform in a fast-paced, highly customized manufacturing environment.
? Familiarity with Windows environment. Ability to learn software applications quickly. Experience with computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
? Advance typing skills.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

? This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

? The employee must demonstrate proficiency as a Dental Technician; no Dental Technician degree is required but preferred.
? Moderate computer literacy required; experience with 3D graphics programs is helpful.
? Must demonstrate advanced knowledge on Chinese-English skill (reading, verbal and written).
? At least 2 year of working experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

? The employee must demonstrate to be proficient as a Dental Technician
? Moderate computer literacy required
? Diploma or related studies
? Dental/Orthodontic knowledge is a plus


LANGUAGE SKILLS

? Must have advanced knowledge on Japanese-English or Chines-English (reading, verbal and written); the employee is expected to understand the submitting doctor’s prescription form, select appropriate clinical comments in reference to the treatment and communicate with peers and other Align employees in English and/local language.
? Strong desire and capabilities to understands and work with 3D applications
? High interpersonal & communication skills
? Ability to communicate effectively with dentists, orthodontists, engineering and technical staff.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
? Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


REASONING ABILITY

? Ability to identify and define complex problems, record data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions.
? Ability to solve complex problems.
? Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions regarding the orthodontic treatment plans for the patients of our customers.
? Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

? While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear.
? The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
? Extensive computer keyboarding and mousing.
? The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
? Vision requirements include: close vision (at 20 inches or less), color vision (to identify and distinguish colors), ability to adjust focus, and depth perception (3-D vision and ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
? The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
