Tasks:
Stationed in IAV's China headquarter in Shanghai the successful candidate will support and be deputy to the General Manager of the company in all leadership matters. He/she will be expected to be an equal counterpart for sales and marketing requests for the mother company's business units requiring him/her to hold regular meetings at the headquarter of the mother company in Germany.

To succeed in this function he/she will be responsible for the business development of the company on the automotive engineering market in China. He/she will independently lead and establish the process for obtaining requests for quotation for all technical units of the company, especially for business with local OEM's and suppliers. Hence, he/she will develop the sales strategy for China in line with the international strategy of IAV Group and pro-actively initiate sales and marketing activities (incl. monitoring marketing budgets).
The Vice President business development will identify new customers and enhance the existing customer base while continuously monitoring customer satisfaction. He/she will negotiate contracts with customers, support the technical departments in legal and business aspects and track business activities as well as sales success. As one of the core tasks in this matter he/she will lead the costumer management of the company and support the global key accounts.
Requirements:
For this senior position we are looking for a candidate with an internationally recognised Master's Degree, preferably with both an economical and a technical background. Thorough knowledge of the automotive development process as well as an excellent understanding of the legal business environment in China are essential.

To succeed in this challenging position, the successful candidate will provide at least 10 years of working experience on the Chinese market, including 5 years in a senior management position with leadership experience (e.g. marketing and sales with focus on automotive industry, engineering and/or consulting).
We are looking forward to applicants with a strong team spirit while at the same time being independent-working, well-organised, problem solving with strong self-motivation and networking skills. The candidate should be able to perform his/her excellent communication and presentation skills in both the Mandarin and English language. German as a 3rd language along with a high awareness for Chinese and western culture would be a clear advantage. Ideally the candidate will have working experience in both the Chinese and Western culture.
