Job Summary:
Highly critical and strategic finance business partnership role with dual reporting to the Executive Director Commercial Finance, Global Clean Air and Regional Director of Finance with business partnership to the Global VP of the Customer Business Unit(s). This role will lead all commercial and strategic financial processes and partner with the Global VP of the CBU to drive strategic, sustainable and predictable results that align with the Annual Operating Plan, three year business plan, and five year strategic CBU plan for Tenneco’s continued profitable growth.
Job Responsibilities:
In this role the successful candidate will perform the following:
1. Develop Business Plans (Current & New), Capital Appropriation Requests, and business cases for analysis of Return on Investment, Return on Invested Capital, and Economic Value Add
2. Develop proformas for new manufacturing facilities
3. Develop competitive pricing strategies/quotations which will be submitted to our customer(s) and potential negotiation of pricing through customer costing models
4. Work with a complex bill of material to understand and develop cost strategies for our products
5. Work with a variety of manufacturing processes and related costs
6. Attend project team meetings
7. Follow-up and resolve financial issues to attain key financial measures
8. Perform monthly financial value added business analysis for senior management
9. Explain product costs to our customer’s financial analysts
10. Develop cost targets for suppliers based on customer & market data
11. Control development spending and have direct involvement in spending and recovery initiatives for all applicable areas
12. Initiate financial roadmaps based on product cost reduction efforts
13. Provide support for Month-end close and financial review analysis
14. Execute financial strategy of the CBU
15. Overall income statement and internal controls responsibility for the CBU
16. Outstanding communication skills are essential for this position
17. Direct customer interface (quote collaboration) preferred
18. Mentoring and coaching of their direct reports

Education/Certification/Work Experience Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required. Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field preferred, Engineering or Program Management will also be considered
2. MBA or professional accreditation (CPA, CMA) highly preferred
3. Minimum of 8 years financial experience related to financial management of project management in a global manufacturing environment
4. Proven excellence in financial skills and the ability to work in a highly matrixed team environment
5. Automotive experience highly desired
6. Proficiency with Microsoft suite and understanding of Tenneco’s financial systems (SAP and others) and processes are a plus
7. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication/presentation skills and overall business acumen required.
8. Highest standards of accuracy, precision and organization skills
9. Solid project management and problem solving capabilities
10. Demonstrated results in improving processes and developing financial analysis that provides business insight

Working Conditions:
1. The position will be located at a strategic business unit office where the Customer Business Unit Global VP is located
