The Procurement Manager is responsible for the identification, selection, sourcing, development and management of suppliers supporting business Operations. Working with end users, business units and other internal stakeholders, the buyer will execute ctegory strategies and peform purchase transactions in line with objectives agreed with the business.




    Responsibilities

Business Engagement:

1.Hands-on support the centralized procurement function responsible for consolidated purchasing of goods and services (e.g., OPEX, CAPEX) that support the entire organization, while continuously identifying and implementing cost saving/containment ideas

2.Participate on task forces, committees, or team groups related to budgeting, forecasting, operational reviews, etc to gain more intimate knowledge of business operations

3.Contribute to demand and specification analysis; conduct supplier search in the targeted supply market and develop specific sourcing strategies.

4.Perform RFx and negotiation in according to policies and procedure to ensure the purchase decisions take into consideration of all related factors and are suitable for different business scenarios.

5.Ensure total compliance with organization’s procurement policy

6.Develop working relationships with suppliers and internal clients

7.Introduce new and innovative ideas for goods and services

8.Evaluate economic/industry/operational/market trends to identify opportunity areas

Vendor Management

1.Maintain excellent relationships with current and prospective vendors, conduct due diligence and analysis on prospective vendor relationships, and develop long-term alliances (including participation in purchasing alliances/cooperatives) to ensure adequate and cost effective sourcing of products and services

2.Ensure all contract vendors are providing cost effective value added services; periodically review and evaluate all contracts

3.Manage Key supplier relationships (contracts, review meetings, escalation issues, etc.)

4.Provide category knowledge and market information to stakeholders for development of longer term strategies.




    Requirements:

1.Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent work experience required

2.5-10 year plus experience in Procurement, with an emphasis on demand analysis and sourcing

3.Proven experience working in multi-cultural environments

4.Ability to perform with minimal supervision

5.Demonstrated ability to support internal clients and lead complex negotiations

6.Excellent communication spoken and written (English as business) / Presentation skills

7.Proven experience in negotiating, reviewing and managing client requirements and contracts
