SUMMARY
Align Technology is a fast paced, empowered, international working environment. You will be a member of APAC IT team and provides operational support in Greater China and remote support to other APAC offices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, in the area of:
Strategy & Planning:
1. Collaborate with IT staff and business folks to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
2. Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues and areas for development & improvement.
3. Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction for further improvement and optimization.
4. Liaison with other departments to provide updates on current mutual topics/issues, participate in problem solving and development of mutual solutions and improvements
5. Participating as a member in various IT or cross-departmental projects.
Operational Management:
1. Manage the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems and services.
2. Providing administrative support and deployment of applications and tools.
3. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house and cloud computing systems, application and services. Performing periodic and/or required maintenance in the desktop & back-office environments.
4. Providing accurate and complete documentation of system and application in accordance to SOX and other regulatory requirements.
5. End-users support in Greater China offices, remote sales offices and remote sales staff.
6. 1st level network support for the office LAN/WAN infrastructure, including close work with distributed 2nd level support team and local telecom providers. This also includes support of a call center and Cisco VoIP system used within the Great China offices/sites.
7. Liaising with vendors and external consulting companies for equipment purchases, repairs and maintenance.
8. Responsible for efficient troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to systems and services provided by IT Infrastructure Services and Apps team through effective, communication and collaboration with respective team members and 3-d level support, including vendors/suppliers and service providers.
9. Provide orientation and training to IT Service Desk and internal customers for modified and new systems, services and apps. Additional duties and responsibilities might applied.
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical skills:
The following skills are required:
1. A thorough understanding of MS Windows OS & Office application suite, as deployed in a corporate organization. A thorough understanding of server concepts (such as security, file sharing, server resources, centralized updates).
2. Communication and messaging - Skype for Business (on-prem/cloud), Audio/Video conferencing, Exchange Online etc.
3. Identity and Access Management systems management (AD, Azure AD, ADFS).
4. Configuration Management and Computer Systems deployment (SCCM, Intune)
5. Good understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure Services, such as DHCP, DNS, WINS, PKI, etc.)
6. Experience in dealing with telco circuits: internet, voice, MPLS
7. Experience with anti-virus / antimalware software
The following skills would be considered a plus and added advantage:
1. Experience of working with SalesForce.com.
2. Experience of working with Cloud services; Office365, AWS, Azure, VMware ESX.
3. Experience of working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
4. Experience with firewalls & network security, Cisco network devices (switches, routers) and Cisco VoIP system.
Non-technical requirements:
1. The ability to work with distributed teams across different time zones.
2. Excellent organizational skills and documentation skills.
3. Experience in the role of a Project Lead or Project Manager would be a plus.
4. Solid vendor management skills, including telco providers, systems integrators, and VARs
5. Ability to understand customers and their requirement.
6. Takes ownership of problems/issues within his/her control
7. Executes to goals and objectives; makes and keeps commitments.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
? IT-related degree or equivalent work experience.
? Minimum of 5 years or more relevant full time work experience, where having worked in an international environment would be a plus (with special emphasis on working with U.S. companies).
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
? Strong written and oral communication
? Fluent English and Chinese (reading, writing, and conversation).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Position requires extensive use of computer keyboard and mouse. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, and may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
