We are offering positions as senior purchaser/purchase engineer with very Good Commercial Understanding to join our team of professional purchase/quality control staff.

The position requires knowledge and long time working experience in the sourcing business and involves dealing with technical issues. We are looking for persons who independently can identify and quality assess potential Chinese suppliers for a wide range of products sought by our clients.

After approval of quality and pricing the candidate must be able to carry out purchase negotiations and subsequently do quality control in the Chinese production facilities prior to shipment.

We want to find persons who have the will understand and personality to communicate our customers’ demands for quality and on-time shipment to suppliers as this will be part of the responsibility.

Our product range is all kinds of semi finished products which can be used as parts in production in Europe as well as finished items to be sold to wholesale companies or directly to end-users.

Fluent English both spoken and written is an absolute necessity. Persons with good sense of humor and preferably with experience from similar job will have priority

Job description

China

• Sourcing manufacturers independently according to the customers’ inquiries
• Identify and quality assess potential suppliers
• Evaluate and approve samples from the manufacturers
• Carry out purchase negotiations, write orders in English and/or Chinese
• Ensure correct delivery time and independently carry out quality control
• Working fields are varied and mainly include: aluminum products, building glass, plastics, rubber, furniture parts and much more

Europe

• Assist with customers’ document work such as B/L, Invoice and Packing list
• Provide customers and suppliers with detailed information about the required products
• Prepare quotations and order confirmations
• Satisfy or help with answering any questions asked by customers

Requirements:

• Junior college above, major in machine engineering is preferred
• 3-5 years’ of purchasing experience is preferred
• In depth command of computer Office software, AutoCAD.
• Oral as well as written English must be fluent
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, teamwork player, honest
• Must be ready to travel domestically
• Age from 25 - 40

The opportunity should be viewed as a career position within purchasing/quality control area and with customer contact as well as internal support functions in the staff group. Among the responsibilities, the engineer will prepare quotations, statistically monitor customer portfolios, and also maintain client documents and files.
