Who We Are?
Coupang China finance department (‘Finance Dept.’) is a team set up in Oct 2015, which is as one of the supporting team served for Coupang China business operated in both Shanghai and Beijing.

Our Mission

The mission of Finance Dept. is to enable the advancement of the Company’s mission by providing relevant and timely financial information to both Korea and China management team; and relevant financial solutions to the leadership of the technology development and administrative departments.

Meanwhile, Finance Dept. is to serve as the Company financial policy advisor and to promote long?term economic sustainability and responsible resource allocation. And to continuously seeks to further the efficient management of the Company resources and to ensure the integrity and compliance of business processes.

Responsibilities:

Main duties and responsibilities：
1. Responsible for monthly close processes including preparation of journal entries, properly filing of original vouchers.
2. Prepare detail reports, financial packages and other information required internally by internal functions & regulators.
3. Monthly BS & PL item reconciliation, raise alert if any abnormal.
4. Optimize reconciliation procedures;
5. Optimize accounting procedures and accounting system framework.
6. Support audit, compliance and fixed assets count.
7. Liaise and cooperate with other department in daily work. Keep good communication with bank, tax, SAFE and other partners.
8. Check all of the invoices & validated receipts and perform 1st level review for employee reimbursement/payment requisition if any.
9. Work together with Cashier to allow the cashier can have good information to arrange the payments via e-banking/other proper payment way.
10. Process forex in/out/settlement under both capital & trading category in compliance with internal control policy, bank rules, SAFE regulation and forex documents filing if necessary;
11. Support regular cash flow forecast and notify direct manager for any shortfall.
12. To apply for tax-related business, including but not limited to issue proforma invoices, taxes return & tax filing.
13. Prepare & monitor tax related financial report, good skilled usage of tax systems.
14. Relationship with bank, tax, SAFE and internal colleagues.
15. Perform other related missions and duties as required.

Qualifications:

Support building up a basic but safe and strong financial, accounting, treasury & tax function in finance department, to support finance department to make the financial management under safety and to match the quick expansion of China business.
Functional Indicators: Accurate, logical, efficient, responsible and on time delivery with good quality, have capacity to strong support the whole finance team in daily work.
Education, knowledge, competences, and attributes
ν Education: Bachelor Degree or above
ν Language: Good written and spoken English
ν Computer: Good excel, word and other office tools skill
ν Professional skills: CPA/CIMA/ACCA is preferred, and with a good sense of tax planning/positioning
ν Business Competences: 8 years above related working experience
ν Behavioral competences: Accurate, logical, efficient, and responsible. On time delivery with good quality behaviors.
ν Personal attributes: Be honest and accountable, self-motivated, good communication skills, able to work under pressure, team spirit; objectivity and fairness.
Working Conditions: Working language for both Mandarin and English are required
