Who We Are?
Coupang China finance department (‘Finance Dept.’) is a team set up in Oct 2015, which is as one of the supporting team served for Coupang China business operated in both Shanghai and Beijing.

Our Mission

The mission of Finance Dept. is to enable the advancement of the Company’s mission by providing relevant and timely financial information to both Korea and China management team; and relevant financial solutions to the leadership of the technology development and administrative departments.

Meanwhile, Finance Dept. is to serve as the Company financial policy advisor and to promote long?term economic sustainability and responsible resource allocation. And to continuously seeks to further the efficient management of the Company resources and to ensure the integrity and compliance of business processes.

Responsibilities:

Main duties and responsibilities：
1. Draft 1 year basis monthly budget by department for Coupang China (e.g. Beijing and Shanghai);
2. Draft monthly actual financial report by department for Coupang China (e.g. Beijing and Shanghai);
3. Monthly interview with department head to understand/state the variance reason between actual and budget numbers;
4. Draft monthly actual and budget by CLT (Coupang Leadership Team) level, analysis and share findings, propose improvement solution if any;
5. Draft consolidation financial reporting package for Coupang China (e.g. Beijing and Shanghai).
6. Have good sense to provide professional financial supporting/optimization financial advice to department head if any;
7. Support internal audit if any, support Singapore/Korea external audit if any.
8. Perform other related missions and duties as required.

Qualifications:

Support building up a basic but safe and strong financial, accounting, treasury & tax function in finance department, to support finance department to make the financial management under safety and to match the quick expansion of China business.
Functional Indicators: Accurate, logical, efficient, responsible and on time delivery with good quality, have capacity to strong support the whole finance team in daily work.
Education, knowledge, competences, and attributes
ν Education: Bachelor Degree or above
ν Language: Good written and spoken English
ν Computer: Excellent excel and good word/other office tools skill
ν Professional skills: CPA/CIMA/ACCA is preferred, good group financial reporting consolidation skills.
ν Business Competences: 10+ years working experience
ν Behavioral competences: Good communication skills, accurate, logical, efficient, and responsible. On time delivery with good quality behaviors.
ν Personal attributes: Be honest and accountable, self-motivated, good communication skills, able to work under pressure, team spirit; objectivity and fairness.
Working Conditions: Working language for both Mandarin and English are required
