SUMMARY
Provide essential testing needed to ensure Electrolux products meet safety standards from UL, IEC, and others. Test results are submitted directly to the various agencies so a great deal of accuracy and attention to details is required in conducting and reporting on the testing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Prepare samples and conduct certification testing on Electrolux products
? Data is prepared electronically and position requires proficiency with Microsoft Office
? Diagnose test failures and offer solutions needed to comply with agency standards
? Lab reports must be detailed and accurate
? Coordinate testing to ensure all projects are completed within project time lines
? Manage testing details for all agency investigations involving uprights and central vacuums for sale in U.S. and Europe.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of basic electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems. Previous work in lab environment including use of calibrated meters. Four year technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
Experience with computers, including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access. Excellent attention to detail with technical writing skills. Ability to read and understand certification standards and test methods. Familiarity with UL/IEC standards a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate hand and power tools and computer keyboard. The employee frequently is required to walk, sit, stand and bend over. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position works in a test lab environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Hearing and safety glasses are required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION
Demonstrate and discuss certification testing techniques with agency representatives in order to maintain lab certification.
