About Our Client: Leading Group specialized in design and construction of complex projects in oil and gas sectors in particular, and the energy and environmental in general;
About The Job:
Job Title: Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities:
Process Implementation
- Creation, establishment and implementation of processes related to sourcing
- Evaluate and adjust processes in due course
- In coordination with other departments(logistic/ purchasing/ quality), ensure that interface is at its optimum and report to management in case of issue
- Establish and validate pre-qualification criterion in partnership with engineering department
Participate actively in creation and maintenance of database
- In partnership with other department(engineering/ purchasing/ quality)take part in establishing a classification of products family and sub-family
- Update and maintain database by keeping an eye on the market
(Potential new comers with competitive pricing and/or new technology)
(Sourcing is mainly but not only limited to Chinese market)
- Ensure that database is fully maintained and propose long-term contracts with recurrent suppliers
- Establish supplier strength & weaknesses and anticipate potential issues from their side
- Identify opportunities for "push" approach to various group entities
Supplier evaluation and long-term performance review
- Establishment of KPIs in relationship with other departments which will need to be reviewed and if required updated in due course
- Supplier pre-qualification
Manage team of sourcing engineers
- Operational management
- You will be responsible for your team performance
- You will be responsible for your team good general good behavior
Pricing and profit optimisation
- Your department will need to support bidding team by providing pricing for various products as per projects requirements
- Upon confirmation of order, coordinate with purchasing department to ensure profit optimization
