Major Responsibilities
A Researcher will work closely with Consultants to gather intelligence through diverse resources and assist with generating analyses. The role, as a junior team member, will focus on primary research and internal support to the consulting team.
- Conduct various research tasks, such as data gathering, reconciliation and update through desk research, calling survey and field trips;
- Explore extensively for information sources, grasping economic fundamentals and industry elements, and identifying industry trends, drivers and levers;
- Assist with the formulation and update of industry reports;
- Work with consultants to prepare presentations and workshop materials.
Desired Qualifications
- At least Bachelor degree, preferably majoring in business, economics, linguistics and/or science (geology, metallurgy, energy) related fields;
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
- Excellent English language skills in reading and writing;
- Previous work experience in business or industry research preferred;
- Aspiration in expanding knowledge and developing a career in mining, metals, energy and commodity industries;
- Proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility;
- Self-motivated to perform in a high-pace, extremely detail-oriented and task-oriented environment;
- Able to meet deadlines under pressure.
