Accountabilities

? A bench scientist who can design and conduct experiments independently and professionally
? To provide technical support for biostress trait characterization
? To deliver technical objectives timely in a team environment
? Join troubleshooting activities for scientific challenges
? Work with other group members to achieve the goals as a team
? Document all activity in clear, concise reports and support intellectual property activities


Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

? PhD with experience in biochemistry, genetics or molecular biology areas
? Strong knowledge in protein biochemistry and protein structure
? Broad knowledge in molecular biology, especially gene cloning, and heterologous gene expression systems
? An strong interest in and knowledge of agricultural biotechnology is necessary
Critical experience

? Strong experience in protein production and purification
? Relevant laboratory experience working with bacteria, yeast, insect or plants as tools for protein production

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities

? Strong protein purification and gene manipulation skills
? Must know how to operate HPLC (FPLC) systems; LC/MS experience is a plus
? Able to design and build vectors for microbial gene expression
? Excellent troubleshooting, data analysis and reporting skills
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Critical leadership capabilities

? Should be able to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
? Should have excellent time and resource management skills
